BLACKSBURG, VA. – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at home against No. 15 Florida State, Friday afternoon at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
Tech (5-6, 1-3 ACC) fell behind early after Florida State (10-2,2-1 ACC) took the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. On court two Nika Kozar and Nina Sorkin were able to get the 6-4 win.

The Hokies tied it up early in singles on court one as Natalie Novotna defeated No. 32 Carla Touly in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.
Florida State reclaimed the lead going up 3-1 after wins on courts five and four.
On court six, Shene Disbergen went to a third set against Andrea Garcia. After winning the opening set 6-4, Disbergen fell to Garcia 7-6(3), 6-1 as Garcia secured the team victory for Florida State.
NIka Kozar secured a win on court two in three sets winning 7-5, 4-6, 6-4. Elizabet Danailova battled on court three but fell in the third set 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(1).
The Hokies remain at home for a 12 p.m. match against No. 19 Miami on Sunday, March 3.
