Virginia Tech prepped for a pair of doubleheaders

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's tennis team is heading into an action packed weekend. On Friday, they will face off against Brown and James Madison. St. Bonaventure and Davidson will travel to play the Hokies in Blacksburg on Saturday.

THE HOKIES
Virginia Tech looks to bounce back after falling to No. 14 Columbia and No. RV Kentucky at the ITA Kickoff Weekend two weeks ago. The Hokies have been playing without senior No. 41 Mitch Harper and junior Henrik Korsgaard in the lineup here in the early season. Senior Jason Kros has posted a 5-2 record to begin 2019 while playing primarily at the one. Sophomore Carlo Donato is 3-2 while freshmen Evan Fragistas and Brandon Perez are 3-3 and 2-2, respectively. 

THE BEARS
In their last matchup, Brown defeated Bryant by a line of 5-2. The Hokies lead the all-time series against the Bears 7-4, their last meeting resulted in a Tech victory in 2011.
 
THE DUKES
Last weekend, James Madison saw victory over Mount St. Mary's. Tech has a 24-3 advantage all-time over the Dukes. In their last match-up in 2018, the Hokies claimed a 7-0 win.
 
THE BONNIES
St. Bonaventure was able to beat Siena in a 4-3 match in their last outing. The Hokies have never dropped a match to the Bonnies, being 17-0 in the series history.
 
THE WILDCATS
The second Atlantic 10 competition the Hokies will face this weekend, Davidson, dropped a match against Presbyterian their last time out. In the last faceoff between the Wildcats and Tech, the Hokies won 6-1.
