Hokies on the road one final time, set sights on Clemson Sunday afternoon

Game notes at Clemson

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women's basketball team (17-9, 4-9) heads down to Clemson for their final road game of the season. The game is available on Regional Sports Networks.
 
Last time out on the court, the Hokie registered a signature win, upsetting the fourteenth-ranked Miami Hurricanes 73-65 at Cassell Coliseum Thursday. The win snapped two lengthy streaks for the program, 15 straight losses against Miami and 17 consecutive game against a ranked opponent with a win. 
 
The Hokies were keyed by big performances from their starters, beginning with Regan Magarity, who pulled down a career best 19 rebounds. The league leader at 12.4 per game, she has averaged 17 a night in the Hokies' last three contest where they are 2-1. 
 
Taylor Emery turned in a big performance, with 24 points and 8 rebounds. The senior went 10 of 10 from the free throw line to salt the game away down the stretch. It was the third time in her career that she had made 10 free throws. 
 
Aisha Sheppard in her third start of the season went 5 of 9 from beyond the arc for a season high tying 17 points. Her 31 minutes played was a new season best.
