Following Thursday 74-58 victory at Pitt, in what was a commanding performance where the Hokies led from start to finish (full recap), the women's basketball team heads to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts to take on the Boston College Eagles.
 
Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. from the Conte Forum on Sunday, Feb. 3.

Tech holds a 14-12 advantage against the Eagles in the all-time series which dates back 1989. 
 
The Hokies have won the past two meetings and three of the last four, which includes Kendyl Brooks' career-high 23 points her freshman season in 2017. She knocked down 7 of 12 shots from beyond the arc tying the school record for 3-point field goals in a single game.

  • The Eagles are also led by a first-year head coach, Joanna Barnabei-McNamee, who previously spent two years as the head coach at Albany.
  • Emma Guy leads three Eagles in double figures scoring at 13.1 points per game. She is also the club's top rebounder, securing 6.9 boards per game. 
  • As a team, the Eagles are shooting .438 from the field, the fifth-highest mark in the conference.
  • Against common opponents (NC State, Florida State, Notre Dame and Miami), Pitt is also 0-4, falling by an average margin of 17 points per game. Tech's margin was 11.8 in those games.

 
The Eagles grinded out a double overtime victory on Thursday night against visiting Duke 92-90. Six Boston College players were in double figures led by Makayla Dickens' 25. Her jumper in the lane as time expired was the difference as the Eagles moved to 14-7 (3-5).
