The Hokies evened their ACC road record at 2-2 with an 82-70 win at Miami on Wednesday night … Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 25 points to lead the Hokies to their first win in Coral Gables since December of 2013 … Ahmed Hill added 19 points, Justin Robinson had 17 points and Ty Outlaw had 11 points off the bench … The Hokies shot 68.0 percent from the floor in the second half, including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc … Tech out rebounded the taller Canes, 28-27 and forced UM into 17 turnovers.

A New All-Time Leader
In the win over Syracuse, Justin Robinson dished out eight assists, and in doing so, became the all-time leader in career assists at Virginia Tech, passing Malcolm Delaney and former leader Bimbo Coles … He now has 551 career assists … Robinson averages 4.6 assists per game in his career and is averaging 5.5 assists per game this season … He is second in the ACC in assists this season and is first among active ACC players in career assists.
