Hokies head south, take on Duke on RSN Thursday night

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's basketball team gets set for the first of two consecutive road games this week as they head to Durham, North Carolina for a clash against the Duke Blue Devils on Thursday, Feb. 14. Tipoff from Cameron Indoor Stadium is set for 7 p.m. and can be seen on Regional Sports Networks. For television listings in your area, use this link HERE.
 
The Hokies came up just short of a win Sunday, down only three points with 34 seconds to go, but Louisville came away with the 72-63 victory at Cassell Coliseum. Louisville was fueled by 34 points from All-American Asia Durr. 
 
Freshman Dara Mabrey and redshirt senior Regan Magarity led the way for the Hokies Sunday afternoon, scoring 17 and 14 points respectively. Magarity and senior Taylor Emery led Tech in rebounds with 8. Sophomore Aisha Sheppard got her first start of the season, scoring five points, knocking down both of her field goal attempts.

SERIES HISTORY
Virginia Tech is 2-26 all-time against the Blue Devils and just 1-13 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. 
The Hokies have yet to beat Duke as a member of the ACC, carrying a 24-game losing streak. Tech's last triumph over the Blue Devils was Nov. 17, 1998 when the Hokies upset the sixth-ranked Duke squad 72-70.
