BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech men's basketball team concludes the home stand, as it hosts the Eagles from Boston College at the Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum on Saturday afternoon. The game will tip-off at noon and will be shown on regional sports networks.

The Hokies are 12-18 all-time against Boston College … Tech has won the last four meetings and are 4-1 against BC under Buzz Williams … Tech won the last game between the two school played in Cassell Coliseum, 85-79, on Jan. 29, 2017, earning Williams his 200th career coaching victory … Tech won last year's game, 85-80, in overtime in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts … Tech is 7-7 against the Eagles in Cassell Coliseum… Every game but one in the series has been either a Big East or ACC conference game … Tech won the lone non-conference tilt, 75-70, in the Gator Bowl Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida in 1981.

In the win over Notre Dame, Justin Robinson moved past Jamon Gordon into third place in career assists at Virginia Tech … He and Gordon, along with Bimbo Coles and Malcolm Delaney, are the only Virginia Tech players with 500 career assists … He now has 521 career assists and trail Delaney by 22 assists for second place and Coles by 26 assists for first place on the all-time list.
 
KJ Starts the New Year with a Bang
In the Hokies' win over Notre Dame on New Year's Day, Kerry Blackshear Jr., got 2019 started in style … Blackshear led all scorers with a season-high 21 points and led the Hokies with seven rebounds … Blackshear scored his 800th career point in the win.
