Hokies welcome 22nd-ranked Seminoles for Sunday tip

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women's basketball team (13-6, 0-6) returns to the court Sunday afternoon for a 2 p.m. tip against the nation's 22nd-ranked team, Florida State. The game can be seen on ACC Network Extra. 
 
The Hokies are led by senior guard Taylor Emery who became the fastest player in program history to reach 1,000 points with a bucket in the first quarter of Thursday's game against North Carolina. The All-ACC performer reached the milestone in just 55 games, shattering Tere Williams' record of 71.

Tech had matched up with the Seminoles 37 times in program history, winning 10 meetings. The Hokies' last win in the series was in 2013 in Cassell Coliseum when Tech upset the No. 19 Seminoles 71-52.

Sunday is Youth Day at Cassell Coliseum with many local basketball teams in attendance.
 
Additionally, the Athletics Department announced Wednesday that all federal employees will be offered two complimentary tickets to the game when they present a valid I.D. at the promotions entrance (door 8) in the Cassel Coliseum lobby.
