Korsgaard, Ribeiro named ACC Doubles Team of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Virginia Tech juniors Henrik Korsgaard and Alex Ribeiro were named the ACC Doubles Team of the Week as announced Tuesday by the league office

Korsgaard, a junior from Fredericia, Denmark, and Ribeiro, a junior from Lisbon, Portugal, had a strong showing at the Virginia Tech Invitational, and helped the Hokies to a win over Boston University (7-0). The duo's highlight was a 6-2 win over the top-ranked doubles pair in the nation, Penn State's Constant de la Bassetiere and Gabriel Nemeth.

This is the first weekly honor for the pair who will be back on the court this weekend with the rest of the Hokies at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Tech will travel to New York City to compete against Columbia on Saturday, Jan. 26.
