BLACKSBURG, Va. - Virginia Tech men's and women's swimming and diving will host George Washington, James Madison and Cincinnati this weekend for their first quad-meet of the new year, which also serves as senior day for the Hokies.

THE HOKIES
Both the mens and womens teams are coming off a loss to ranked rival Virginia. The men's team turned in seven first place finishes with Lane Stone, Ian Ho, Sam Tornqvist, Antani Ivanov, Norbert Szabo and Ben Schiesl claiming the top spots. Tech also secured the win the 400 free relay. On the women's side, Reka Gyorgy and Joelle Vereb garnered first place points along with the 400 free relay team.

The Hokies return to the pool this weekend to honor their twelve graduating seniors. Over the course of the season, three seniors have claimed ACC weekly honors and all have contributed to the Hokies success. Schiesl and Ashlynn Peters have earned diving honors while Ho has picked up swimming recognition.

For the men, Tech will recognize seniors Ho, Michael Craddock, Jake Lamparella, Christopher Outlaw, Norbert Szabo, Sean Workman and Schisel. Danielle Griggs, Eleanor Matheson, Sydney Pesetti, Peters and Leah Rogers will be honored for the women's team. Each of them will individually recognized for their time and dedication to the Hokies, Virginia Tech and the greater community.

THE FIELD
Both Cincinnati and George Washington defeated their opponents this past weekend, while James Madison will be returning to the pool for their first contest of 2019.
