WASHINGTON, D.C. – Head coach Justin Fuente announced Saturday that RB Coleman Fox will wear Frank Beamer's No. 25 jersey on Monday in Virginia Tech's game vs. Cincinnati in the Military Bowl.
Fox (5-11, 195) has appeared in 11 of the Hokies' 12 games this season. On special teams, he plays a key role on Tech's kickoff and punt units where he's made two tackles. Fox's father, Rich, played fullback for Virginia Tech from 1986-89, part of Frank Beamer's first teams in Blacksburg.
At the beginning of the 2016 season, head coach Justin Fuente announced that a special teams' player of the week would be selected to wear the No. 25 as a tribute to Coach Beamer and his legacy of special teams' excellence he established for the Hokies.
