GREENSBORO – Two Hokies, forward Kristo Strickler and goalkeeper Mathijs Swaneveld were named to All-ACC teams Wednesday morning the league office announced. For each, it was the first career selection.

Strickler, a sophomore from Hilliard, Ohio earned second team honors after a season in which he led the Hokies in scoring with 22 points (9 goals, 4 assists). His 22 points rank fifth in the conference and he sits tied for fifth in goals scored.
He was named the ACC's Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 22 following his two goals, including the game winner in a comeback 5-2 victory at No. 16 Notre Dame. He was also the United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week and was included on both the College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer teams of the week.
Strickler has three game-winners on his resume this season, including his strike during the Hokies' epic comeback at No. 16 Notre Dame.

Swaneveld is a third team All-ACC member in 2018, his first season in the league. The sophomore from The Netherlands led the league in saves with 87, some 32 saves ahead of second place. He also ranks fourth in save percentage.
Swaneveld and the defense recorded four shutouts on the season, against South Florida, UNCG, Syracuse and William & Mary.
His season high 10 saves came in a match in September at UCF.
The Hokies are eagerly awaiting their opponent in the NCAA Tournament, with the 2018 bracket to be revealed on Monday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.
Tech is poised to make its third straight appearance in the competition, only the second time the program has compiled such a streak. For the third consecutive season, the Hokies have compiled a 10-win season.
