BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in partnership with the Office of Student-Athlete Development, sponsored a student-athlete tailgate and Enter Sandman experience in conjunction with the Thursday night football game versus Georgia Tech on Oct. 25.
More than 200 varsity student-athletes participated in the tailgate prior to the game and then formed the human tunnel on the field during the playing of Enter Sandman as the team ran out onto the field. The Georgia Tech matchup was selected as the "Hokies for Hokies" football game this season in which all student-athletes were encouraged to attend the game, wear their Hokies for Hokies t-shirt, and support their fellow student-athletes.
