Brizendine announces signing class

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's soccer program welcomed five new Hokies into the program in the last few weeks, as the young men sent in their national letters of intent. Head Coach Mike Brizendine spoke about the excitement around the program for the additions of these players.

"I'm very excited about this group that's joining our team next year," Brizendine said. "I think that the staff has done a great job putting together another excellent class. We haven't left our model, which is getting the best Virginia kids first and then expanding from there. I think that we will address some of our needs and I expect to see some of the newcomers getting minutes right away."

"When we recruit a player, we always look at what kind of player they are on the field, but also what their academics are like and most importantly, the kind of person that they are. I think with this group of young men, each one of them is a five star in those three categories. As we continue to bring in that kind of quality, you have to be excited about the future."
