THE HOKIES
The men's team defeated two top-25 teams (Notre Dame and Pittsburgh) the last time out to remain undefeated. Tech entered the men's rankings for the first time this season, coming at at No. 16 in the latest CSCAA TYR Top-25. It was an exciting tri-meet for the Hokies, defeating Notre Dame by just seven points. The Tech divers earned crucial points in the win with senior Ben Schiesl and freshman Noah Zawadzki recording one, two finishes in both the 1- and 3-meter. Tech wrapped up the weekend with a huge first place finish on the 400 freestyle relay which secured the points needed for the team win as Jake Lamparella, Ian Ho, Thomas Hallock and freshman Henry Claesson turned in a 2:56.39.

On the women's side, the Hokies split results, defeating the Panthers but falling to the then-No.13 Irish. Ashlynn Peters recorded a first (3-meter) and second (1-meter) place finish on the boards while the team of Emily Meilus, Baillie Cameron, Kayla Purcell and Abby Larson came in second in the 200 medley relay.  Reka Gyorgy finished second in the 200 IM for the Hokies.

In addition, the Hokies recently sent two swimmers to the inaugural ACC/B1G challenge. Ian Ho and Joelle Vereb both competed in a variety of events with other ACC members against the Big Ten representatives. Ultimately the ACC fell to the Big Ten in the inaugural challenge event. Ho and Vereb will be back with the team this weekend.
