Women’s tennis set to compete in two tournaments

BLACKSBURG - Following a two week hiatus, the Virginia Tech women's tennis team will be traveling to participate in two different tournaments this weekend, wrapping up the Hokies' fall season. Twelve athletes will be competing against a variety of teams across the country to prepare for their spring schedule.

KENTUCKY INVITE
A team consisting of Dori Mesmer, Emily Pence, Samantha Gillas, Jade Woo, Annie Clark, Nika Kozar, Nina Sorkin and Elizabet Danailova will be highlighted this weekend in Kentucky.  This will be Danailova's debut as a Hokie; while her teammates have all seen the court this season. Joining Tech in Lexington are host team Kentucky and Tulane.

LWR DICK VITALE CLAY COURT CLASSIC
Veterans Sarah Baron, Shene Disbergen and Natalie Novota will be accompanied by freshman Rita Pinto in the trek to Bradenton, Florida to compete in the LWR Dick Vitale Clay Court Classic. The Hokies will be joined by athletes from TCU, Florida, Boston College, Liberty, Oklahoma State, South Florida, Central Florida, Appalachian State and UAB.
