HOKIES RETURN TO THURSDAY NIGHT VS. GT                
• Virginia Tech returns to ESPN's Thursday Night Football when the Hokies host Georgia Tech (10/25).
• Since the inception of ESPN's Thursday Night Football package in 1991, the Hokies are 23-9 (.719) in such contests. Those 32 Thursday night appearances are tied with Georgia Tech for the most among FBS programs.
• The Hokies own a perfect 6-0 mark in Thursday night games against Georgia Tech with the most recent such contest resulting in a 23-21 at Bobby Dodd Stadium (11/12/15) in Frank Beamer's final season as Virginia Tech head coach. 
• Georgia Tech is the one ACC Coastal Division squad that current Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente has faced previously and has yet to beat. GT won a 30-20 decision at Lane Stadium (11/12/16) and hit a 80-yard TD pass for the go-ahead score in a 28-22 victory last season in Atlanta (11/11/17).
• Both squads enjoyed an open date this past Saturday before Thursday night's game. The Hokies are coming off a dramatic 22-19 win at UNC (10/13).
