Edwards completed the course in a time of 22 minutes, 11.3 seconds to headline a 1-2-3 finish for the Hokies in the race. Lauren Berman came in second with a time of 22:13.1, while Sara Freix finished third in a time of 22:15.9.

Berman and Freix tied their career-best finishes as Hokies, and the two of them combined with Edwards to lead Tech to the team title in the event. The Hokies finished with 17 points, easily out-distancing Ohio, which came in second with 60.
Tech runners took six of the top seven spots in the race. Ella Breidenstine was fifth (22:22.4), followed by teammates Ellie Brush (22:28.7) and Emily Schiesl (22:30.7), who won the season-opening Virginia Tech Invite.

On the men's side, Peter Seufer led the Tech men to the team title in the men's 7.5K race, as the Hokies finished with 34 points. The redshirt junior came in fifth with a time of 24:18.1. Fitsum Seyoum and Ben Fleming came in right behind Seufer, only hundredths of a second behind.

Redshirt freshmen Bashir Mosavel-Lo and Osman Humeida came in 12th and 13th, respectively, while Andrew Goldman, David Whitfield and Owen Buck were each in the top 20.
