GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech men's tennis junior Mitch Harper has been named to the 2018 All-ACC First Team as voted on by the league's head coaches and announced Thursday.
This marks Harper's first nod to the all-conference team after putting together an impressive 2017-18 campaign capped by an at-large bid to the NCAA Singles Championships.
The Brisbane, Australia native, has been strong for the Hokies all season and is currently ranked 28th in the ITA singles standings as released today. He has tallied a 14-6 record at the one this spring, including a notable 9-2 record over the final weeks of dual play. Harper has posted 13 wins over opponents ranked in the ITA, including three ranked 30th or higher.
Harper will be back on the court Friday, May 11 in Columbus, Ohio as the Hokies face Kentucky in the opening round of the 2018 NCAA Men's Tennis Championship.
