Virginia Tech baseball broadcast schedule revealed

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech broadcast schedule for the 2018 baseball season has been announced and includes expansive coverage compared to previous years. This coverage includes fans being able to hear the entire 55-game slate on the radio or through an internet stream, while all games at English Field at Union Park, starting with the first home ACC weekend series against Pittsburgh in March, are available for viewing on the internet.

When it comes to listening to the Hokies this season, again the entire schedule – all ACC and non-conference games home or on the road – will be broadcast on the radio and can be heard in the New River Valley on 101.7 CBS Sports Blacksburg. For fans not in the NRV, they still can tune in to the games through an audio streaming link on the web via HokieSports.com. Coverage of each game starts 10 minutes prior to the first pitch and concludes with a postgame interview with the Hokies head coach John Szefc.

Fans who cannot attend games this season at English Field at Union Park will still get a chance to watch every home game, starting with the first ACC series against Pittsburgh. Those 22 games at English Field at Union Park can be viewed from anywhere through ESPN’s ACC Network Extra, which is available on the Watch ESPN App.

Also, several opponents have their broadcast schedules set, and as of this release, at least a dozen road games will be viewable. Stetson has announced all five games in DeLand, Florida will be on video stream through Sidearm on GoHatters.com. ACC opponents Georgia Tech and Notre Dame also have confirmed that games against the Hokies will be on ACC Network Extra, while the Liberty game will be carried on the Watch ESPN App.
