BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech lacrosse team has been honored by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association and Zag Sports as a 2017 Academic Honor Squad.
The award is given to all qualified teams from Division I, II, III and NAIA. To be eligible, teams must have earned a 3.0 GPA or higher for the year 2016-17.
On Wednesday, the IWLCA also released the Division 1 Academic Honor Roll, presented to student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA who are juniors, seniors or grad students. Three Hokies were included for their achievements:
- Marissa Davey, junior chemical engineering
- Tara Feehan, senior biology
- Kristen Kohles, junior human nutrition, food, exercise science
