Hokies open ACC action at Syracuse

The Virginia Tech men's basketball team opens ACC play at Syracuse on Sunday, Dec. 31 at 6 p.m. at the Carrier Dome. The game will be shown live on ESPNU and the ESPN app.

TONIGHT’S GAME
The Hokies enter the game 11-2 on the season. The Orange are 11-2 this season. This is the ACC opener for both schools.

THE SERIES
Tech is 3-8 all-time against the Orange. Tech won the last meeting, 83-73, in Cassell Coliseum last season. The Hokies are 1-5 all-time in Syracuse and 0-5 in games against Syracuse in the Carrier Dome. Tech is 1-3 against SU under Buzz Williams. Tech has one victory in the Dome, a 65-61 win over Fairfield in the opening round of the 2000 Carrier Classic.
