Tech men's tennis wraps up ITA Nationals

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Members of the Virginia Tech men’s tennis team concluded their fall slate on Friday at the 2017 ITA Fall Nationals in Indian Wells, California.

Mitch Harper and Henrik Korsgaard wrapped up their fall schedule at the national event. Harper, ranked 122nd, clashed with 101st-ranked Walker Duncan of Georgia. The Bulldogs’ player took the opening set 6-3, but Harper came back to win the second 6-4. Walker secured the win 6-4 in the third.

In doubles, Harper paired up with Korsgaard where the two fell to Oregon’s duo of Thomas Laurent and Cormac Clissold, 7-5, 6-3.

Tech has several players currently competing at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia. Abraham Asaba, Jason Kros, Chase Bernstine, Feliksas Sakalauskas, George Cartledge and Ryan Kros will be back on the court Saturday.
