BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuente announced the additions of four members of his support staff on Tuesday.
Anthony Crosby joins Tech as senior director of football strength and conditioning, while Matt Transue will serve assistant director of player personnel and recruiting. Ally La Rocque will work as a recruiting assistant, while Shannon Lewis has joined the Hokies as an assistant to the head coach.
Crosby, a 2008 graduate and former football player at Louisiana Tech, comes to Blacksburg from Ole Miss, where he spent three seasons as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for football. The Lafayette, Louisiana, native previously spent two seasons working with the football program Boston College after serving internships at Arizona State and LSU.
Transue, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, had been a recruiting assistant in the football office at Tennessee. The Knoxville, Tennessee, native also was an account executive in the ticket office of the Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.
La Rocque, a 2011 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, had been assisting the Tech athletics department with gameday setup of premium seating areas at both Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum, while also working as a sales representative for a firm in Blacksburg.
Lewis, a 2002 graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan, is a former assistant women’s soccer coach at East Carolina and was working in the private sector in Blacksburg.
