KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Virginia Tech Swimming and Diving teams finished day two at the Tennessee Fall Invitational on Saturday.
Ian Ho highlighted the day, swimming the 50 in 23.28 seconds, which will allow him to compete at the Olympic trials. Jessica Hespeler and Ashlynn Peters also recorded wins for the H20kies. Overall, the men and women both sit in third place through event 83. The No. 22 men’s team has 597.5 points while the women have 613 points.
Hespeler continued her strong start to the season as she won the A final of the 200 free with a time of 1:46.90. Peters also won the A final of the women’s 3-meter event with a score of 317.55.
The women’s 200 A relay finished with a finals time of 1:39.85. Klaudia Nazieblo finished fourth in the 400 IM recording a time of 4:11.82. Maggie Gruber finished second in the A final 100 fly with 53.05. The women’s A relay finished second in the A finals with a time of 7:14.84.
Lucas Bureau finished third in the men’s 200 free. Ben Schiesl finished fourth in the A final of the men’s 1-meter with a score of 336.70. The Hokies will wrap up the Tennessee Fall Invitational tomorrow.
