Tech named IWLCA Academic Squad

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech lacrosse team was named an Academic Squad by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), Monday morning. Tech is one of 84 teams recognized at the Division I level and one of four schools representing the Atlantic Coast Conference on the list. Boston College, Duke, Syracuse and Virginia were also among the squads with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Tech recently saw 17 of its lacrosse student-athletes named to the ACC Honor Roll, and two members were named to the All-ACC Academic team following the conclusion of the season. The Hokies last received Academic Squad honors following the 2012 season.
