Hokie ClubGREENSBORO, N.C. - Led by first-team selection Kendall Fuller, three Hokies were named to the 2014 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Football Team, as selected by the league’s 14 head coaches. Dadi Nicolas and Corey Marshall were second-team selections while two others were named honorable mention.
Fuller was named to the first team as a cornerback, earning the most points among those at his position. He was also named to the All-ACC first team by the media association. He followed up a strong freshman year with 50 tackles, including 4.5 for loss and two sacks, with 14 pass break ups and an interception which he returned for a touchdown at North Carolina.
Nicolas had a break-out year in his first season as a starter, tallying 63 tackles, including 17.5 for loss and 9.0 sacks, to go along with 34 quarterback hurries, a pass break up, two blocked kicks and a fumble recovery. The junior from Delray Beach, Florida, was also named to the All-ACC second team by ACSMA.
Marshall, from North Dinwiddie, Virginia, has 39 tackles, including 9.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks, to go along with one interception and 23 quarterback hurries. He was named to the All-ACC third team by ACSMA.
Freshman wide receiver Isaiah Ford and defensive tackle Luther Maddy were named to the honorable mention squad.
