Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech wrestling squad will kick off its 2013-14 season Friday night inside Cassell Coliseum with the Maroon and Orange intrasquad scrimmage. This meet will provide coaches a chance to set the lineup for next weekend’s action in Salem, as well as develop the depth chart. Action begins inside Cassell Coliseum at 7 p.m. and admission is free for all.
“Our intrasquad scrimmage on Friday night is a chance for our guys to step on the scale, put a singlet on, and compete in front of some people,” said head coach Kevin Dresser. “It will also determine the starting positions for the first weekend in Salem. Getting into a good rountine with weighing in and competing an hour later is important in order for us to start the season off strong!”
While no live video or stats will be available, the staff will provide updates on its Facebook page throughout.
