BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Virginia Tech looks for a season sweep over the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Cassell Coliseum. The game will be televised by regional sports networks and can also be viewed on ESPN3.
About Today’s Game
The Hokies are 11-11 on the season and 2-7 in ACC play after losing to Maryland on Thursday night.
Georgia Tech is 12-9 overall and 2-7 in ACC action after a 56-54 loss to Florida State on Tuesday night in Atlanta.
This is the second meeting of the season between these two schools. The Hokies defeated the Yellow Jackets, 70-65 in overtime on Jan. 12, 2013.
Maryland 60, Virginia Tech 55
Erick Green scored 29 points in a 60-55 loss to Maryland on Thursday night. Cadarian Raines scored 14 points and tied a career-high with five blocked shots for Tech.

Rankin Misses Maryland Game
The Hokies had just seven scholarship players available for Thursday night’s game with Maryland, as Marquis Rankin missed the game due to the flu. His status for today’s game is a game-day decision.

Erick Green’s 35 points in the loss to Virginia marks the most points by an ACC player in a game this season. Green has three of the ACC’s eight 30-plus point games this season.
