BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The Virginia Tech Hokies will host a rematch with the Maryland Terrapins on Thursday night at 9 p.m. in Cassell Coliseum. The game will be televised live by The ACC Network.
About Tonight’s Game
The Hokies are 11-10 on the season and 2-6 in ACC play after losing in overtime at North Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
Maryland is 16-6 overall and 4-5 in ACC action after an 86-60 win over Wake Forest on Saturday.
North Carolina 72, Virginia Tech 60, OT
Erick Green scored 16 points to pace four Hokies in double figures in a 72-60 overtime loss at UNC on Saturday. Jarell Eddie added 15 points, Cadarian Raines scored 12 points and Robert Brown had 10 points for Tech. The Hokies had a final shot in regulation for the win, but it came up short and UNC won in overtime.
Green Notes
Erick Green leads the ACC and the nation in scoring.
Green has scored 20-or-more points in 19 games of the 21 games this season.

Honors for Green
Erick Green has been named a watch list finalist for the Bob Cousey Award, given annually to the top point guard in the nation. Green has also been named to the John R. Wooden Award’s Midseason Top 25. The Wooden Award is given to the nation’s best player.

Erick Green’s 35 points in the loss to Virginia marks the most points by an ACC player in a game this season. Green has three of the ACC’s seven 30-plus point games this season.
The Hokies’ two largest comeback victories this season have come in their two overtime games, both victories. Tech was down 13 points against Bradley and 11 points at Georgia Tech.
The Hokies have played in three of the five overtime games played this season by ACC teams. Tech defeated Georgia Tech and lost at UNC in the only ACC conference overtime games this season.
