Hokie ClubGREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the brackets for the 2012 ACC Women’s Tennis Championship with the Hokies earning the No. 10 seed and will face No. 7 seeded Florida State in the opening round on Thursday, April 19 in Cary, N.C. Match time is slated for noon.
The Hokies (12-12, 3-8 ACC) are ranked 70th in the ITA standings and played the 33rd-ranked Seminoles (12-9, 5-6 ACC) during the final weekend of regular season competition, falling 7-0 in Tallahassee, Fla. With a win on Thursday, Tech would advance to face No. 2 seeded North Carolina on Friday.
Duke earned the No. 1 seed after going undefeated in ACC matches this season.
