Marching Virginians, Tech’s Spirit Program and local hospital need votes as they raise awareness for breast cancer

   The MarchingVirginians, Tech’s Spirit Program and the staff from LewisGale HospitalMontgomery teamed up to produce and submit a video for entry into the Pink GloveDance, a national contest sponsored by Medline that raises awareness of breastcancer. The rules of the contest called for all the participants to wear pinkgloves. Fans can go to this web site to watch the video and to vote for the group’sentry.

More than 120medical facilities from around the nation have entered the contest. The winninggroup receives $10,000 donated to that group’s charity, with second placereceiving $5,000 and third place receiving $2,000. The Marching Virginians, theTech Spirit Program and the staff at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery chose theSusan G. Komen for the Cure as their charity.

The voting endsOct. 21. The winner will be announced around the date of Oct. 28.
