The Virginia Tech Student Government Association will be sponsoring two charter buses to and from FedExField in Landover, MD. The buses will run for the opening game of Virginia Tech’s football season against Boise State University.
Tickets will be sold to students Monday, August 23 until Thursday, August 26 from 9am until 5pm each day in Squires 319. The cost of each ticket is $10 and includes a voucher for an SGA football t-shirt. Students are encouraged to buy tickets as soon as possible, as there are only 100 tickets available and are likely to be sold quickly. Game tickets are sold separately.
The bus will leave from Squires Student Center at 1pm on September 6 and will arrive at the field at approximately 7pm. It will depart from the field back to Blacksburg exactly one hour after the end of the game. The game begins at 8pm in the official Stadium of the Washington Redskins and will be broadcasted on ESPN.
According to the Associated Press pre-season poll, Virginia Tech is ranked 10th, and the opponent of the opening game, Boise State, is ranked 3rd. The Student Government hopes to provide a safe ride for students traveling to and from the game in order to cheer on the Hokies.
