Chalkley tied for Junior Amateur lead

IncomingVirginia Tech golfer Bryce Chalkley has a two-round total of 134 andis tied with Jake Mondy of Blacksburg for the lead at the 58thVirginia State Golf Association Junior Amateur Championshipat the Roanoke Country Club in Roanoke.

Chalkleyposted a seven-under-par 64 on Tuesday and a one-under 70 onWednesday for his 136 total. The rising freshman from Richmond wasthe first round leader. The final round will be played on Thursday.

Theduo has a three stroke lead over Jack Adkins of Martinsville and arefive strokes ahead of Alex Lloyd of Virginia Beach.
