De Jonge finishes tied for 33rd at US Open

Former Hokie golfer Brendon de Jonge shot a four-round totalof 296 and finished in a tie for 33rd place at the US Open at thePebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California. De Jonge shot a finalround six-over-par 77 on Sunday evening. This was his first-ever majorchampionship appearance.
