GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Virginia Tech lacrosse team will face the Virginia Cavaliers in the first round of the ACC Tournament as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference this weekend. This year’s tournament is being held on the University of Maryland campus in College Park, and all games will be played at Ludwig Field. Tech’s game against its in-state rival will be played Thursday, April 22 at 5 p.m.
The Hokies, who finished the regular season 6-10 overall, have been slated to face the Cavaliers in the postseason for the second consecutive year. Virginia, along with Maryland and North Carolina, finished the season in a three-way tie for the top spot in the conference but earned the third spot in the conference bracket after the tiebreaker.
