Chalk Talks to begin Oct. 15

BLACKSBURG, VA. – Chalk Talk, the popular lunchtime events which allow Virginia Tech students to gain in-depth information about the Hokies’ basketball program, will begin its 2010-11 schedule on Friday, Oct. 15 at noon in D2.
The Chalk Talks, which experienced tremendous success during last season and the post-season, are provided to give students insight into the inner workings of the men’s basketball program. Coach Seth Greenberg leads a fun and informative session that highlights the team’s preparations. The Oct. 15 session will be geared towards the upcoming season and the beginning of practice on Friday.
Friday is also the day of “Late Night with the Hokiesâ€.  The festivities will begin in Cassell Coliseum at approximately 9 p.m. (following the completion of the volleyball match against Wake Forest) and last approximately an hour. All fans are invited to attend and admission is free. The first 3,000 fans will receive a special “Late Night with the Hokies†t-shirt. Coupons for t-shirts will be given out at the promotions booth in the concourse of Cassell Coliseum beginning at intermission of the volleyball match, which begins at 7 p.m.
The rest of the schedule for Chalk Talks has been set for the upcoming season. On Friday, Nov. 12, the day of the Hokies’ season opener in Cassell Coliseum against Campbell, Coach Greenberg will host the second Chalk Talk. Other dates for the Chalk Talks are listed below.
