BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s lacrosse team released its 2010 schedule Tuesday and will face a challenging line-up for the upcoming season, including seven home contests and nine road games. The season will conclude with the ACC Tournament in College Park, Md., hosted by Maryland.
The Hokies begin their season with two home games, with a week’s rest in between, as they will host Drexel on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. and Presbyterian on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. The team will then hit the road for five straight contests. The road slate will feature games against James Madison, George Mason and George Washington, concluding with a trip to New England to face Central Connecticut State and Boston College.
The Hokies will return to Thompson Field for another ACC game, hosting Duke on March 17. The team will play two more home games through the next week against William & Mary and Davidson before traveling to Old Dominion and North Carolina.
Tech will host Virginia and America in its final home games of the season before traveling to Longwood and Maryland, and will wrap-up the season at the ACC Tournament at Maryland.
