With an exciting new format, the Virginia Tech men’sbasketball staff will host a clinic on Oct. 22-23 in the Hahn Hurst BasketballPractice Center. The event is open to all coaches, male and female, includinghigh school, youth and amateur league coaches. New this year, the event willalso be open to boosters, season ticket holders and friend of the program.
The event will feature a new format. The clinic will beginwith an evening practice session by the Virginia Tech men’s basketball team onFriday, Oct. 22. On Saturday morning, Oct. 23, the clinic will continue with amorning practice session, followed by a tailgate function and meal prior to theVirginia Tech football game against Duke.
As a departure from years past, head coach Seth Greenbergwill wear a microphone for the two practice sessions and members of thecoaching staff will be available to attendees to answer questions before andafter the practice sessions. The aim of this new format is to allow theattendees a better understanding of the workings of practice and other aspectsof the Virginia Tech men’s basketball program.
“This year’s all-access format will give both coaches andboosters a better understanding of the day-to-day commitment and attention todetail that we demand from our players over the course of practice,†head coachSeth Greenberg said. “I look forward to interacting with the coaches andfriends of Virginia Tech basketball throughout the weekend. We think thisconcept will be an eye-opening experience to all in attendance.â€
