Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG, Va. -- The Virginia Tech women’s tennis doubles team of Yasmin Hamza and Holly Johnson have earned a No. 34 preseason national doubles ranking as released today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Tech duo concluded the 2009-10 season ranked No. 72 in doubles nationally and No. 5 in the Atlantic Region.
The pair will not play together this weekend as Hamza (Sr., Cairo, Egypt) is one of five players participating in the 18th Annual William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va. Johnson (Sr., Tallahassee, Fla.) is joining three teammates at the UNCW Collegiate Tennis Invitational in Wilmington, N.C.
