Virginia Tech Sports Today, the weekly television magazine-style program featuring head football coach Frank Beamer, makes its 2009 debut Sunday morning, August 23 on television stations and cable networks throughout the region.
Hosted by Bill Roth, this week’s edition of Virginia Tech Sports Today will focus on the Hokies’ 2009 offense and a look ahead to the team’s season opener against Alabama. The show will run weekly throughout the 2009-2010 sports season. This week’s show includes:
- A preview of the 2009 Hokies and a position update with Coach Beamer.
- A position-by-position breakdown of the offense with Travis Wells.
- A one-on-one interview with Tech tight end Greg Boone conducted by Grant Kittelson.
- Flashback to the Hokies 2009 Orange Bowl victory.
- An in-depth feature on Hokies’ offensive line coach Curt Newsome following his heart by-pass surgery earlier this summer produced by Chris Miles.
