BLACKSBURG, Va.- The Virginia Tech men’s soccer announced the signing of David Fiorello to their 2009 fall roster. Fiorello is the 11th player to sign with the Hokies this season, after signing an official offer of admission for the 2009-2010 academic year.
“David will be a nice addition to our 2009 team,” said head coach Oliver Weiss. “His toughness and determination, as well as his competitive club and high school experience in Eastern Pennsylvania will give us great depth with our defense unit this fall.”
Fiorello is a 6’1” defender who was a four-year letter-winner and starter at Twin Valley High School. A team captain his junior and senior seasons, Fiorello was named first team All-Berks in consecutive seasons and received team MVP honors during his senior year.
The native of Elverson, Pa., played for the Spirit United Premier club team, while also participating as a member of the football at Twin Valley High School during his junior and senior season.
