Vassallo's team falls in PIT semis

Former Virginia Tech player A.D.Vassallo once again scored in double figures, but his PortsmouthPartnership team lost, 80-78, to Sales Systems LTD in the semifinalsof the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament at Churchland High Schoolin Portsmouth, Va., on Friday night.

Vassallo scored 10 points and grabbedseven rebounds in the loss. He was five-of-11 from the field in just22 minutes of action. Former Clemson player K.C. Rivers led allscorers with 17 points for Sales Systems LTD.

Portsmouth Partnership will wrap-uptheir play in the event on Saturday evening at 6 p.m., as they willplay Cherry, Bekaert & Holland in the tournament's third placegame.
