Hokie ClubKANSAS CITY, Mo. - Virginia Tech guard/forward A.D. Vassallo has been named to the NABC All-District 2 second team, as selected by member coaches of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Vassallo was also named to the district second team as a junior in the 2007-08 season.
The senior from Toa Baja, P.R., leads the Hokies in scoring this season, averaging 18.9 points per game. He is currently eighth in career scoring at Virginia Tech and needs just four three-point field goals to set a new school career record for made three-point field goals.
The newly realigned NABC District 2 is comprised of Atlantic Coast Conference schools. Vassallo is now eligible for the State Farm Coaches’ Division I All-America team, to be announcedon Saturday, April 4.
