Books to be collected at gates

BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Virginia Tech men’s basketball team hosts the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on “White Out” day in Cassell Coliseum. All fans are encouraged to wear white to the game. Also, all fans are encouraged to bring a book to be donated to the Herma’s Readers program. Books will be collected at the gates the day of the game. Herma’s Readers is a non-profit organization, promoting reading and literacy in grades K-3. All books will be donated to elementary schools within the state of Virginia.

In addition, the 2008 Virginia Tech Football team will be honored at halftime for winning the 2008 ACC Championship as well as the 2009 FedEx Orange Bowl.
