The Virginia Tech men’s basketball team hosts the first of three consecutive home games this Saturday when Tech battles in-state rival Virginia at 4 p.m. The Hokies also host Richmond on Wednesday, January 14th at 7 p.m. and Boston College, Saturday, January 17th at 4 p.m.
With these three games being played over student break, the possibility exists that not all Virginia Tech students that hold tickets to the games will attend. With that in mind, and in an effort to fill Cassell Coliseum, the athletics department will admit those Virginia Tech students without a ticket to each of these three games to fill any unoccupied seat in the student section. Due to the uncertainty of the exact number of student ticket holders which will attend the games, and how many students without a ticket will show up at the games, there is no guarantee that all students without a ticket will be admitted. Students without a game ticket will be required to show their Virginia Tech school ID, and should use the entrances on the East side of Cassell Coliseum.
Any Virginia Tech student that holds a ticket to any game and does not plan on attending is encouraged to give their ticket to another Tech student. Student tickets can only be used by other Virginia Tech students.
Public season ticket holders who are unable to attend can also share their tickets with other Hokie fans or local charities online through Hokie Share, the athletics departments new ticketing transfer program for season ticket holders.
