Tech heads to the mountains

BLACKSBURG, Va. --- The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team travels to the Rocky Mountains this weekend to participate in the Colorado Invitational. The three-day event (Sept. 19-21) will be played at the South Campus Courts and is hosted by the University of Colorado.

The entire Tech roster is participating in the event which includes players from Air Force, Colorado, Illinois, Northern Colorado, Virginia Tech and Wyoming. Friday’s play begins with doubles at 8 a.m., followed by a pair of singles matches, and another round of doubles. Saturday starts at 9 a.m. with singles, then doubles; and on Sunday, the final day, doubles will be the main event beginning at 9 a.m.
Overall, there will be three singles flights, in addition to a pair of doubles flights with one round robin doubles draw.
