BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s lacrosse team has announced the schedule for fall scrimmages as the team readies for the spring season. The Hokies will play on four weekends this fall, starting this weekend at James Madison University.
On Saturday, Sept. 27, Tech heads to Harrisonburg, Va. for a match against host James Madison University at 1:30 p.m. followed by a game against George Mason University at 2:40 p.m.
On Oct. 5, the Hokies travel to Duke University in Durham, N.C. Tech will play exhibition matches against Duke at 11:45 a.m., North Carolina at 12:55 p.m., Ohio State at 2:05 p.m. and Longwood at 2:35 p.m. Virginia Tech will also travel two other weekends in October for tournaments at American University in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Oct. 11 and at Longwood University in Farmville, Va., on Saturday Oct. 18.
Even though the fall games do not count towards the team’s overall record, fans are still encouraged to come out and support the Hokies and catch an early glimpse of the newcomers and returning veterans in action.
