The Virginia Tech duo of Nicolas Delgado (Jr., Madrid, Spain) and Pedro Graber (So., Santiago, Chile) are ranked No. 3 in the nation in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) fall rankings. The Tech doubles team posted an outstanding 21-6 record last year, including a 20-5 mark in dual matches, and advanced to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Championships. The No. 3 ranking is the highest for a Tech doubles team in the history of the program. The Tech pair were also selected to participate in the main draw of the ITA All-American, the premier fall collegiate tennis event, in Tulsa, Okla, Oct. 4-7.
In other men's tennis news, Albert Larregola (Sr., Lleida, Spain) was ranked No. 100 in the ITA fall rankings.Larregola posted a 21-7 worksheet last year in singles contests including a 17-5 mark in dual matches. Additionally, Larregola was selected to participate in the qualifiying singles at the ITA All-American, Oct. 1-3, along with teammates Delgado and Graber.
