The No. 19 Virginia Tech men's soccer team went to 2-0 over the weekend to claim the title at the Level 3 Golden Hurricane Classic, defeating host Tulsa 3-2 on Friday then Oral Roberts 3-1 on Sunday.
Tech (5-1, 1-0 ACC) also went 2-0 in its Hawthorn Suites Hokie Invitational on Sept. 7-9, and has now won five consecutive matches, which ties for the second-longest streak in school history.
Senior co-captain and midfielder Ben Nason was named tournament MVP, while senior defender Marcus Reed, junior forward Patrick Nyarko and freshman forward Terry Boland joined him on the 11-man all-tournament roster selected by the coaches.
The Hokies play on Saturday against William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., at 7 p.m.
